I just did the math on my Q45 for the first time - I get 17.5 MPG combined. Not bad! Especially given the way I drive... I have a hard time resisting the 3-4k RPM torque surge in first and second gear. So, what does oppo daily drive (pictures please!) and what’s your combined MPG?

I get 24mpg on my winter beater (98prelude), 30mpg/16mpg on miata for commute/track. Both cars are sadly missing a 6th, so on highway speed they both scream at 4k+ rpm.

I get like 20-22 mpg around town BECAUSE THE REV LIMITER IS THERE FOR A REASON BABY. I get 32 mpg or so on the highway because cruising at 70 is like 3700 RPM in 5th gear. I don’t do math so I dunno the combined...

I like to think that I get around 20 MPG, though I’ve never measured (broken odometer makes it harder).

16/24 in a 4motion V6 Passat wagon (B5.5, 2001). City is harsh because of the weight and mechanical/Torsen AWD drivetrain, but highway isn’t horrible. About on par with other Volvo and Subaru AWD cars of the same era. For comparison with more modern tech, that’s about the same mileage our much larger, heavier Honda minivan gets

Good weather DD is a 2001 Prelude, H23 VTEC swap, some weight reduction. About 20/28, which was the advertised rating for the car’s original engine. It’s less when I thrash it, of course.
I’ve never done an MPG calculation for my bad weather car because the fuel gauge is inaccurate.

I get 17 mpg. EPA says 17/25 but I have never done any true highway driving in this. Twice a year, maybe I’ve had it going over 65mph for longer than 10 minutes.
I average 18 mpg. EPA says 14/20 and that’s pretty true. This thing spends 80% of its drive time over 70mph. I can exceed 20mpg easily, but one hour of city driving and idling will bring the average into the teens no matter what.

The 3 is/was getting high 20's. I stopped checking it since my commute is so short now. Lots of time spent idling in the school parking lot in the morning though.
The CX-5 is about 25, last time I checked the onboard display. It suffers from the same fate of idling in a school parking lot, but in the PM.
Once it warms up consistently they should both improve.

I bought an heavy, old car with a l6. Even though the 520i is underpowered it’s therefore actually quite thirsty. But if I was interested in the gas mileage at all I shouldn’t have considered buying it. So after one year of owning Das Boot I never did the math. I guess somewhere around 21 mpg sounds about right though. I have to mention that I’m mostly driving in the city and when I’m enjoying countryroads or the Autobahn, I’m really enjoying it... ;-)
Gas prices dropped to around 121,9 Cent per liter since last summer when I took this picture, but still: You lucky Americans! ;-)
